Privacy Policy

Ultimate Dashboard is a browser extension that replaces the new tab page. It is built to keep your data on your machine.
What we store, and where
Bookmarks, tasks, widget layouts, themes, notes and settings are saved in chrome.storage.local on your device. That includes Markets portfolio holdings, the daily portfolio-value history and your price alerts. CSV files you import or export for your portfolio are read and written on your device only — they are not uploaded. We do not run a user-account database. There is no required sign-in.
What leaves your browser
- Weather — the city (and optional country code) you type for a weather pill or weather card — on a new install, the city named in your browser’s time zone setting until you change it — is sent to Open-Meteo to look up the place and get the forecast (no API key of ours).
- My location (optional) — only if you choose “My location” for a weather pill, the extension asks your browser for your location. The browser shows its own permission prompt and you can say no or turn it off at any time; the pill then uses the city you chose instead. Your coordinates go directly from your browser to Open-Meteo (for the forecast) and to BigDataCloud (to show the place name, e.g. “London”). They are not sent to us and are not stored on our servers.
- Weather Map — the Weather Map card (paid plans) loads rain radar images from RainViewer and map images from OpenStreetMap for the area you are looking at.
- Markets — the Markets card (on the Info layer of new installs) and the coin and currency cards get prices from Yahoo Finance and CoinGecko and exchange rates from Frankfurter. Those requests contain the symbols shown on the card, including the ones in your portfolio; the quantities and prices you paid are never sent.
- Price alerts (Pro and Lifetime) — if you set an alert, the extension’s background worker asks Yahoo Finance for the price of those symbols about every 10 minutes, also when no dashboard tab is open. When a price crosses your level, your browser shows a notification on your device. Nothing about your alerts is sent to us.
- Public holidays — if a calendar card shows public holidays (new installs preselect the country of your browser’s language setting; you can pick another or “No public holidays”), the extension asks Nager.Date for that country’s holiday list. Only the two-letter country code and the year are sent.
- RSS — feed URLs you add are fetched via the extension background worker and, if needed, a public RSS-to-JSON proxy.
- Favicons — bookmark icons may load from Google’s public favicon service.
- AI chat — if you paste your own API key, messages go only to the provider you chose. We never receive that key.
- License — if you buy a paid plan, the key you enter is sent to
https://license.ultimatedashboard.app/validate(a Cloudflare Worker) which checks it with Lemon Squeezy. One activation per key.
If you remove or never add those cards and never enter a license key, those calls do not happen.
As with any web request, the providers above (Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud, RainViewer, OpenStreetMap, Yahoo Finance, CoinGecko, Frankfurter and the others) can see your IP address and the request itself. Their own privacy policies apply to what they log.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data, including your location.
- We do not run third-party advertising networks inside the extension.
- We do not read your other tabs, history, or passwords.
- We do not require an account to use the free tier.
Payments
Paid licenses are sold by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Their privacy policy applies to checkout, invoices and payouts. We receive your license key status, tier and expiry so the extension can unlock features. We do not store your card number.
Analytics
This marketing website may use Cloudflare’s standard request logs. The extension itself does not include Google Analytics or similar trackers.
Children
The product is not directed at children under 13.
